Apply configuration to Tunnelblick.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>3.a. Download OpenVPN config file &ldquo;iptp.conf&rdquo;. You can find it attached to the e-mail sent to you by IPTP.<\/p>\n<p>3.b. Click on the Tunnelblick icon up right and choose &ldquo;VPN Details&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==\" alt=\"VPN setup\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/tb7.png\" class=\"lazy\"> <\/p>\n<p>3.c. Drag and drop &ldquo;iptp.conf&rdquo; into configurations drawler.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>        <strong>4. Connect to VPN service. <\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>4.a. Tunnelblick session is established. <\/strong> VPN client tray icon color will change from grey to black. A private IP address from IPTP has been assigned to you. Click on the tray icon and choose &ldquo;VPN Details&rdquo; and than click &ldquo;Copy Diagnostic Info to Clipboard&rdquo;. Download OpenVPN config file &ldquo;iptp.ovpn&rdquo; into OpenVPN Config Directory. Connect to OpenVPN service<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>        4.a. Run OpenVPN GUI with administrator privileges (right-click on the OpenVPN GUI icon and choose &ldquo;Run as administrator&rdquo; from context menu). Please share them with IPTP technical team.<\/p>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==\" alt=\"VPN setup\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/figure-20.png\" class=\"lazy\"><\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"linux\" class=\"tab-pane fade\">\n<h2>For Linux<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1) Install OpenVPN client software<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>        Execute the following command to install OpenVPN according to your Operating System<\/p>\n<p>        For RedHat\/Fedora\/CentOS,<\/p>\n<p><code># sudo dnf install openvpn <\/code> <\/p>\n<p>        For Ubuntu\/Debian<\/p>\n<p><code># sudo apt install openvpn<\/code><\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Connect to OpenVPN service<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2.1) Execute the following command to establish the OpenVPN conection.<\/p>\n<p><code># sudo openvpn path_to_file\/iptp.ovpn<\/code> <\/p>\n<p>2.2) After executing the above command, you will need to enter the Private Key Password. The password is provided to you in the email together with the OpenVPN certificate<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==\" alt=\"key-certificate\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/openvpn-linux-key-certificate.jpg\" class=\"lazy\"> <\/p>\n<p>2.3) Once you enter the password, the VPN tunnel will start initialing. Once the VPN tunnel initialized, you will be able to see the following message.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==\" alt=\"key-certificate-success\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/openvpn-linux-key-certificate-success.jpg\" class=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>3) Verify the connection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3.1) Execute the following command and you will observe an additional interface is added to the system.<\/p>\n<p><code># ip -a | grep tun\n        <\/code><\/p>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==\" alt=\"test ipconfig -a\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/openvpn-linux-test-ipconfig.jpg\" class=\"lazy\"> \n        3.2) Using ping command to test the connection<\/p>\n<p><code># ping -c 5 10.10.11.4<\/code><\/p>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==\" alt=\"test ping\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/openvpn-linux-test-ping.jpg\" class=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Troubleshooting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the OpenVPN connection is fail, you will be not able to see the message in 2.3) and generating other message(Refer to the following image as an example). \n        Please share them to IPTP technical team.<\/p>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==\" alt=\"error ping\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/openvpn-linux-error.jpg\" class=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>Additional Note: You may need root privilege to execute some command mentioned in this article.
